Zhen Shan Xiao Zhong (正山小种), internationally known as Lapsang Souchong, is one of the most historic and distinctive red teas from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, China — the birthplace of Chinese black tea.
Cultivated in the high, mist-covered valleys of the Wuyi range, this tea absorbs the mineral-rich terroir and pure mountain air. What sets it apart is its unique pinewood smoking process, a centuries-old tradition that infuses the leaves with deep, smoky complexity while preserving their natural sweetness.
The result is a bold, full-bodied tea that perfectly balances earthy richness, subtle sweetness, and a refined smokiness — an unforgettable tribute to Wuyi’s ancient craftsmanship.
