GABA Ali Shan Plus Tea – High-GABA Oolong – 200 mg per 100 g of Tea
A medium-oxidized, medium-roasted oolong crafted in the highlands of the Ali Shan estate in Taiwan, made using a specialized GABA tea processing method.
In its dry form, it features dense dark green semi-spheres with golden flecks and a few stems.
This tea stands out with the pronounced profile of a classic Ali Shan oolong, combined with the distinctive floral-and-rowanberry-like notes of traditional GABA tea.
Infusion Color: Buckwheat-honey or golden.
Aroma: Fruity-floral, pastry-like, with dessert notes.
Flavor: Smooth, juicy, and subtly sweet, with notes of baked goods, fruit, honey, candy, and spices. A long, refreshing finish with a berry-fruit tartness.
Effect: Harmonizing and balancing, relaxing the body while sharpening focus.
The leaves are rich in glutamic acid, the precursor of GABA. Despite GABA’s calming and stress-reducing properties, the potent high-mountain raw material provides a noticeable boost of energy and vitality. Not recommended for consumption right before sleep, but ideal during the day or in the evening after work.
Harvest: 2025
