Mengku Rongshi “Broken Words” (2010) is an exceptional aged Sheng (Raw) Puer produced in Yunnan Province, China, from leaves harvested on ancient tea trees in the famed Iceland (Bingdao) region.
This tea reflects the philosophy of time, patience, and craftsmanship — each leaf embodying the natural power and grace of Yunnan’s high mountains.

Created by Mengku Rongshi Tea Factory, one of the most respected names in puerh production, this 2010 vintage represents balance between maturity and vitality.
Over the years, careful aging has given this tea a deep, resonant flavor with a layered character — a hallmark of well-preserved Sheng Puer.

Taste & Aroma

Infusion: Light amber evolving into golden honey with age.
Aroma: Subtle woody and herbal notes with hints of dried leaves, moss, and wildflowers.
Flavor: Starts with fresh vegetal tones, gradually revealing sweet wood, camphor, and mountain herbs.
Aftertaste: Long, smooth, and slightly cooling, with a soft returning sweetness (hui gan) that defines high-quality Sheng Puer.

Every steeping deepens the tea’s complexity, showing both the liveliness of youth and the wisdom of time.

Brewing

  • 5–7 g per 150 ml of water
  • Water temperature: 90–95 °C
  • First rinse: 5 seconds (discard)
  • Steep 10–20 seconds, gradually increasing with each infusion
  • Suitable for gongfu-style brewing — up to 8–10 infusions

To highlight its mature character, use soft spring water and a porcelain gaiwan or clay teapot
