Gun Tin Puer Tea

This shu puer is produced and cultivated throughout Yunnan Province. It is available in both loose and pressed forms: pie, brick and tuo cha. In Chinese, Gong Ting means “palatial, imperial puer”. Gong Ting originated around 4,000-5,000 years ago. It was supplied to the emperor's court as loose tea. Therefore, because of its inaccessibility, ordinary people began to call this tea imperial tea. It has been called imperial tea ever since.
